Erosion Control Web Database
This web site provides a simple user interface to erosion control product tables located in the Final Report to the State Water Resources Control Board Agreement No. 01-269-250-0.

Data within the tables originate from manufacturer product sheets, manufacturer web sites, and product Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) available to the public in 2003. General composition and use of products are the main data in the tables; however, the Liquids & Powders category may also list pH, water solubility, and any available ecological information such as degradability or aquatic toxicity.

Additionally, the categories for Mulch & Fibers and Liquids & Powders provide names of chemicals listed on MSDS. Individuals with Microsoft Access can download the original database from the Final Report website. For more detailed information about composition or environmental effects of these products, including aquatic toxicity, please contact the manufacturer. Listing of manufacturers and product names in these tables does not imply recommendation or lack of recommendation of these products or manufacturers by the University of California.

Product Category Definitions:

Liquids & Powders: Any product in liquid or powder form that does not contain fibers.
Mulch & Fibers: Any product, fibrous or liquid, that contains fibers of any kind.
Blankets, Mats & Netting: Rolled erosion control products.
Wattles: Includes rolls, logs, and wattles.
